Pulsar Planet Designations
Pulsar Planet Designations
The usual designations I have seen for the planets of PSR 1257+12 start with the innermost planet being labelled as "a", going outwards there are then "b" and "c", however in extrasolar.ssc, the innermost planet is given as "b", followed by "c" and "d". As far as I know the designation "d" was given to a proposed gas giant companion which has now been retracted.

Oops.
They sneaked in planet A because it was discovered in a closer orbit than the original pair, B and C. It's a thoroughly dim approach to planet lettering (what are they going to do if they discover another inner planet?), but it certainly seems to be what they've done.
I've committed the correction to the CVS tree.
Anyone aware of any other, similar situations?
