Wierd clipping of models in pre7 - pre 8

Today I upgraded to a GeForce FX 5900 XT yay!

And what is happening now didnt happen before...

It seems there is a growing issue with Celestia and 3ds models...Even when you approach a model placed on the planets surface it breaks apart...I havent tried it with the new card...so Im uncertain what it will look like now...

All I know is Im confused why would this all the sudden be the case when all I did was change video cards?
