the earth is a mess!!!
Everything works fine it is beautiful but the earth is a mess....it has gold lines around it like a grid and i can see nothing !!

Then you presumably have an inadequate graphics card or more likely an old driver!
But nobody can help you, if you do not communicate your equipment
and the precise names/origin of the earth textures that you have installed...
Do you also see those gold grids with the /default/ earth texture from the distribution???
My earth looks incredibly beautiful and detailed at 1600x1200 fullscreen, with 32k VT's, 45000 towns marked on a most hires nightlight display (32K VT's) etc...
So it seems your problem is your OS-software+hardware, not Celestia.
