Atmosphere bug?

Post #1by Size_Mick » 31.01.2004, 03:29

When I turn off atmospheres, all the gas giants still have atmospheres! shouldn't I see an Earth-sized diamond or something? ;)

I sort of meant this as a joke but sort of also as an idea, to be able to peel away layers of a gas giant and see what modern science thinks might be in there. This should be easy to do, I assume, and already well within the capabilities of Celestia as is. I suppose it's up to a clever planet maker type?

That's quite a good idea. Could be a new activity: "The interior of planets".
But for current Celestia there would be only one layer to stripe off, as there is only one atmosphere layer definable.
