Graphics problems with the voodoo 5

Hi,
I have a voodoo 5 and i have many graphic problems. the most noticeable is that the earth appears Brown with multi-colored spots and when i switch to full screen mode, the textures of all planets disappear and they look like wireframed.

I don?t know if there is a solution for these problems.
Thanks

The first thing you should try is to get the latest drivers for your card. The problem with the Earth texture sounds to me like a driver issue.

Hi,

I have a voodoo 5 too and I experience the same troubles with earth's textures. You can try out new driver ( 3rd party drivers can be found at http://www.voodoofiles.com ), but i don't think that's the problem.
My guess is that the program uses vertex shaders to draw earth and unfortunatelly your voodoo 5 doesn't have this feature

Resize earth.png tex to1024x515 with a graphics program such as
Paint shop pro or Adobe photoshop

The person on the previous post is absolutely right.
I have Voodoo5 5500 AGP and had a similar problem with the Earth. I followed his advice and hey presto - it works fine now. Although I resized to 1024*512 (using scale retention). Best of luck.
And hey! All those people behind Celestia - marvellous job! :D
