Hi, I just downloaded Celestia yesterday, and I love it! I used to have OPen Universe, which was good, and while visiting their site to check for updates, I noticed that they had merged with you guys.
I do have one problem with the program, though. The textures flicker horribly everytime I switch to full-screen. As long as I am in Windowe-mode, things are fine. Does anyone know what the problem is?
Thanks.
My system Specs:
P4 1.8GHz
512M PC-133 SDRAM
GeForce3 Ti200 with 22.80 reference drivers
SB Live Value
Windows Me
Flickering Textures in Fullscreen

The only thing different from my specs is a bit more processor power and ME (I think ME might be your problem but dont quote me on that)
Make sure you have DirectX 8 installed...Also try using the default drivers for that card...GF I am referring to...
My specs...
1.5 gig Intel
384 megs RAM
GF Ti200 64 meg
Win XP Pro
Also maybe its the resolution you chose in fullscreen...sync it with the desktop resolution...or try a lower res...
Other than that I would have to say I dont know bud...
I'm trying to teach the cavemen how to play scrabble, its uphill work. The only word they know is Uhh and they dont know how to spell it!
Thanks for the reply.
I'm using the 22.80s as they are considered the most stable in my opinion. Unless I am sure it's a problem with the drivers (which I think is unlikely), I won't try messing with them.
I'm not sure about the ME thing, but I am using DX8.1.
As for resolution, I have tried quite a few, and both 16 and 32 bit colour depth. Still crashes.
Ah well, I've sorta got used to running it in windowed mode anyway.
