More specifically, Rassilon's M4 addon. It crashes when I try to visit any "earthlike planet" in that globular cluster.

What is your Celestia version??
You might know that Celestia pre1.6.0 (from SVN) has all 150 globular clusters of our galaxy built in (including M 4 of course) , involves some crucial modifications of DSO data file names and therefore may give problems with external globular add-ons that don't respect the new syntax!

Re: Celestia crashes when visiting cluster
Fridger,
Rassilon's clusters are just long lists of stars in STC catalogs. They are unrelated to the current DSC implementation of globular clusters.
PlutonianEmpire,
I get no crashes with either Celestia v1.5.1 or the most recent build from svn.
A graphics driver bug seems most likely: update to the current version.
Where did you put all the gc_ textures?
Did you restructure the directories of NGC2244-systems_i to be compatible with what is needed by modern versions of Celestia?
I just now installed gc_tex_v2 and gc_tex_v3 and then moved all of the gc_ textures to \textures\lores in the addon directory NGC2244-systems_i.
Here's what HIP 500806/Earthlike Planet g looks like:

Re: Celestia crashes when visiting cluster
Hey, sorry for the long time it took to reply. Internet Problems.
How do I make sure I have done that?
I have all the textures needed for the globular cluster generator addons. They are in the default textures/medres directory. Should I copy those to the NGC2244/textures/medres directory?

Re: Celestia crashes when visiting cluster
Yes, you should move all of the gc_* textures into NGC2244/textures/medres/ and its stc and ssc files should be in NGC2244/ not in NGC2244/extras/
All of the things used by an Addon -- textures, models, etc -- should be in directories associated with the Addon. You should no longer be putting textures or models in Celestia's main directories. That'll just lead to different kinds of grief later.
