As far as I know, the AbsMag parameter is not part of the parameters in sts files but only in stc files (star)
Added after 30 minutes 39 seconds:website:
http://www.physics.sfasu.edu/astro/asteroids/sizemagnitude.htmlcalculates a value for the diameter of an object knowing its AbsMag (H) and its albedo.
for asteroids the default albedo is 0.15
the result provided by the site is the diameter of the object, so don't forget to divide by 2 to obtain the Radius.

Includes 2017 AE2, data mostly undefined, and main belt asteroids 2010 OJ129 and 2010 TM8, included in previous NEO data batch on the Small Body Data Base.

I realized that you had put the diameter instead of the Radius. The website :
http://www.physics.sfasu.edu/astro/asteroids/sizemagnitude.htmlreturns the diameter of the object as a result. To obtain the Radius you must divide by 2. To avoid this additional calculation repeated many times, you can replace the default value of the albedo (0.15) by 0.60 on the site which will give you the radius as a result. (little trick). The albedo in the ssc file should remain 0.15

This video was made by OBS studio software (free and open source program).
Celestia 1.6.2.2 window recording with LUT5 and a modified Vidiba module.
The video is an avi file H264 1600x816 pixels
Asteroids are defined at Epoch 2459600.5 (2022-Jan-21.0) TDB (by JPL). Their starting positions are grouped together in a concise place in space. Is it because they were only observed at the beginning of the year?

It already does, with the 4000 asteroid catalog from Celestia Origin alone, it has been extremely laggy once orbits for asteroids are turned on

I currently have 72000 informed asteroids.
I use vidiba from LUT5 for viewing them with orbits or without orbits. Vidiba allows you to view only certain groups of asteroids of your choice. Initially all asteroids are 'Visible false' and it is checking them in vidiba that allows 'Visible true'. Like that there are always only a small number in office.

Its worse when you have the ability to generate the
entire minor planet catalog in Celestia with just a script.

Like the asteroid catalog you had made that if I turn on orbits it crashes Celestia 1.7.0.
