Face of Mars

My impression of Mars in glorious-ish 8K. This map is a mix of both the color and grayscale versions of the Viking MDIM2.1, with lightly massaged MOLA elevation to create the normal map. The clouds are completely fictional, using a few real images solely as reference.

I've adjusted the surface colors to vaguely match one of the enhanced Viking mosaics. No precise calibration to measured spectra whatsoever, it's pretty much pure artistic license at this point. One of these days I'll go over it again and remove the seams, but they're subtle enough that I can ignore them for now.
