Neptune SF2020

My (semifictional) rendition of Neptune as of 2020, with two northern dark spots. I spent what felt like ages trying to get the colors just right, but it's open to debate whether they're even close. On first glance it seems too white, according to the spectrum it's a bit too blue. I've adjusted it to match
this Hubble image from 2008. While it may or may not be *exactly* what the naked eye would see out there, it's what I imagine space tourists' vacation photos might look like. That's good enough for me.

Nice, it kind of reminds me of some of my older (and crappier) HD Neptune textures, including one I recently updated to my liking. Something I really want to know though, is how did you do the clouds? They're beautiful!

The clouds are pretty much just lenticular, cirrus, and altocumulus clouds from free stock photos. Some of them were warped, others heavily sharpened to turn them into masses of fine detail, but it's ultimately all about blending them organically enough that they don't look pasted on. Neptune's clouds are white cirrus over a bluish background, just like a clear sky on Earth, and it helps to treat them like one.

Yet another fantastic job. Just downright amazing! (Funnily enough, yesterday, I actually thought that you did Uranus too)

Look a little closer at screenshot 2, there's some subtle detail deep under the haze.
