That's because the addon relies LET, just look at the screenshot.

Just tested in a plain Celestia install, and it works for me.

Judging by my test, it is most likely due to the addon's reliance on BSP Spice orbit rather then an SSC defined one or an XYZ/XYZV orbit.

LUA Education Tools, what Celestia Origin uses.

will you make a version of this that doesn't need the lua tools?

This doesn't need the Lua Tools.
SevenSpheres wrote:Just tested in a plain Celestia install, and it works for me.
(It does need Spice support, but default Windows Celestia has that.)

this dose not require lua tools

it uses SPICE

on linux spice needs to be installed and celestia built from source ( with spice support)

on windows i think it is already built in on most builds
On Apple ??? i do not know , so....

i run linux and my celestia install is 99.999% all spice orbits

there was a section on Celestialmatters for spice addons and using spice

John Van Vliet, can you post the same smaller model? 5-10 megabytes is enough. May come in handy in Origin.

here is a small 8 Meg zip of the add on

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1miJ7auynX3gmYKc_4datNwBbAdtpMOou/view?usp=sharing

in reducing the mesh there was some small artifacts added , a few sharp mountains
nothing too bad but if one looks carefully they can be noticed
also i reduced the 4k textures to 2k textures
