Trolligi's old addons

Post #1by Trolligi 112477 » 18.04.2020, 13:39

Hello! This is the place where on the forum, I write about my mods. For now, I've got 2 star systems, both of which are WIP.

1st system: Gadria system
The Gadria system is a star system about 2,200 lightyears from the Sun. It is quite isolated. The central 'star' is Gadria, a T5 brown dwarf about ~2.75% the mass of the Sun. It looks like a glowing hot coal and has 4 planets and 1 moon (for now)

2nd system: Gersemi system
Located about 274 lightyears from the Sun, the Gersemi system is a system of 5 planets (for now) and 4 moons (for now). The central star is Gersemi, an orange dwarf.

For now, that's it. But more stuff is always around the corner! Enjoy!

I don't know what you mean, Gadria looks fine with 1.6.1/1.6.2. There is one small problem though - IIRC the names of the "textures" and "medres" folders need to be lowercase for the addon to work on non-Windows systems.

I tried the add-ons and the textures worked for me (I'm on macOS). However, I can't say the same about Linux systems, so yeah, I recommend changing the folders to be lowercase.

By the way, nice textures! Did you make them yourself?

Some of them yes. Some of them are modified SpaceEngine.

Good ideas for first add-ons! Alien worlds that look alien! Adding bump/normal maps will help improve the look, and over time, you may want to improve the overall textures. But otherwise, they don't look too bad. I like the idea of brown dwarf systems.

Oh, and I did have to change the folders to lowercase since I'm on Linux. But it worked fine.

jujuapapa, this is both spammy and unnecessarily rude. You've already been warned about this, stop it.

I took the liberty of putting a bump map on one of the moons. I hope you don't mind. It was done in Wilbur.

Ofc I don't mind! Nice pic you got there!

Sorry if I was lazy recently, I was basically spamming CelWP systems for the last 2 months. So I didn't have much time. I might have more time these days considering I'm taking a break from CelWP after the next release for 2 releases (1 month). I still won't have too much time though.

Thanks. Doing a bump map will take your systems up a notch.

Yup. These were the first systems I ever made, so they're quite primitive imo.
