N3cronium's Addon repository
Posted: 09.03.2020, 01:04
This is a thread where I post my addons for real objects, and sometimes hypothetical objects. New addons will be continuously added as I release them; previews and updates are posted as replies. My addons are usually free to use for both public and personal purposes, unless they include my own self-made textures and models which would otherwise need credit.

* March 8, 2020: Double-Keplerian orbits for 47171 Lempo
DOWNLOAD:
This addon updates the orbits in the trans-Neptunian hierarchical triple system 47171 Lempo, which now consists of two barycenters. The inner pair of components, Lempo and Hiisi, orbit around the Lempo-Hiisi barycenter, which in turn orbits around the Lempo System barycenter with the smaller and outer component Paha. The surface colors, rotations, and semi-axes are fictitiously altered to resemble the primordial Kuiper belt object Arrokoth. Note that Paha's rotation is unknown and a random rotation and precession period was assigned, as its rotation is likely chaotic similar to Pluto's circumbinary satellites.

* April 13, 2020: Hypothetical Uranus Moonlets
DOWNLOAD:
This addon adds two hypothetical moonlets of Uranus. These two moonlets are thought to be responsible for the suspected perturbations within Uranus's alpha and beta rings.

* July 28, 2020: Updated Irregular Satellites
DOWNLOAD:
This addon updates diameters, albedos, orbits, rotation periods, and realistic colors for the irregular satellites of the outer planets. The orbits of most irregular satellites are based on the epoch 2459200.5 (2020 Dec 17), provided by the JPL's HORIZONS ephemerides. Over 40 irregular satellites with measured B-V and V-R color indices are given realistic colors calculated with FarGetaNik's color calculator. The rotation periods of 36 irregular satellites are updated based on photometry, and 25 Saturnian irregular satellites have
constrained shapes and aspect ratios; 4 moons (including Phoebe) have known pole orientations and 4 other moons have been identified as binary or contact binary candidates. Mean diameters and albedos for the largest irregular satellites are derived from infrared
thermal measurements by NEOWISE and Herschel.
This addon supersedes the Uranian irregular satellites addon, which has now been archived in in a topic reply.

* October 13, 2020: Updated/New Kuiper belt Binaries
DOWNLOADS:
Three addons for specific Kuiper belt binary systems: 385446 Manwë, (523764) 2014 WC510, and (84522) 2002 TC302. Each addon is separate and contains the same texture files, with Manwë having a contact binary model by Askiniy.

* November 18, 2020: 66391 Moshup and Squannit
DOWNLOAD: LINK IN REPLY
This addon adds the binary near-Earth asteroid 66391 Moshup (1999 KW4) and its moon Squannit. Both components orbit around an invisible barycenter, separated approximately 2.6 km apart with an mutual orbital period of 16 hours. The accurate mutual orbital parameters of the binary system as well as the shapes and physical characteristics of the components are derived from radar observations by Ostro et al. in 2008.
WARNING: These addons do not replace previously existing objects! To avoid any duplicates, make sure to check other addons in the extras folder if 1999 KW4 is already present in Celestia.

- The 385446 Manwë addon updates the Manwë-Thorondor binary system's orbits and physical properties. Shapes are based on photometric measurements.
- The (523764) 2014 WC510 addon adds the plutino and Kuiper belt object 2014 WC510, a compact binary system with two components orbiting closely around each other.
- The (84522) 2002 TC302 addon adds a hypothetical moon and updates the dimensions of the trans-Neptunian object and possible dwarf planet 2002 TC302.
