I wanted to post this pack for quite some time and i decided i am going to do it now and that i wanted to be able to at least share stuff with you all and enjoy this pack, also it did take some time to get it where it is now and there are still up coming updates but i might need help for those but other then that this pack does have many cool things to look at (please read what it contains to know what is in it) and that this pack is my first add-on and i will hopefully make more at some point but other then that please remember enjoy this pack!

what it contains - It contains many stars and planets with also up coming updates to encounter.

BEWARE - The pack is not complete it is only 74% complete has more fixes to come and that more things need to be added, as this was first add-on yet it's not done, Also this pack is cancelled.

Updates

Fixes: none

Changes: More stars!

Link changes: Mainly added a file attachment to the forum post to make it easier to download!

You do know that instead of posting your download in another website, you can rather click "Full Editor and Preview" below the reply box and drag and drop your files there?

nickroffical, some feedback:

  • You shouldn't use real catalog numbers (e.g. HIP, TYC, Gliese, 2MASS) for fictional stars
  • Some of your stars are impossibly bright, especially "CY Omega Henta"
  • Several textures are missing, and you misspelled "medres" as "Medros" once

If you think about that SMASS brown dwarf is a fictional SMASS brown dwarf and there is reasons why there isn't textures yet since the add on is not finished

Added after 2 minutes 9 seconds:
And CY Omega Benta will get fixed soon

Added after 6 minutes 11 seconds:
Oh yeah also soon if i can figure out how to make textures or if i get get some assistance from FYR.

The idea of a fictional object in a real catalog makes no sense. Using real catalog numbers for fictional stars is confusing.

nickroffical wrote:and there is reasons why there isn't textures yet since the add on is not finished

As an example, Ty Tomo Ab uses a texture called "k272b", which isn't included. I know exactly what texture this is, it's from fyr02's K2-72 addon. Obviously this isn't a matter of the addon not being finished, you just forgot to include the texture (and also to credit its creator). Same with "Medros", that's a typo.

How about you learn to accept critique like Sirius_Alpha does?

We don't have to follow a standard.

I'm not sure what you mean here? We should "follow a standard" of accepting constructive criticism.

nickroffical wrote:Explain to me, how come Joey P. gave me a good advice but not you seven.

Explain to me how "include the texture referenced in the ssc file" isn't good advice.

How do you suggest I improve "As an example, Ty Tomo Ab uses a texture called "k272b", which isn't included. I know exactly what texture this is, it's from fyr02's K2-72 addon. Obviously this isn't a matter of the addon not being finished, you just forgot to include the texture (and also to credit its creator)."? I can easily imagine Selden writing that.

Added after 1 minute 40 seconds:
Thank you for locking the topic Anthony.
