This addon adds 2014 MU69 based off of recant data and a model based of New Horizons imagery.

Notes:
-The model is very rough due to my modeling but it is as close as I could make it.
-The model is not rotated correctly and it lacks a texture.

Maybe you could add a texture once you learn to UV map.

Unfortunately, I have absolutely no modelling experience whatsoever, so I can't help you.

The problem is that I do not know how to add textures to models made in Blender.

Added 132425 APL, New Horizons first flyby.

Try going changing from "Object Mode" to "Edit Mode" (near the lower left), then on the menu on the left, go to "Shading/UVs". I think you choose "Cylinder Projection". (I don't really remember how to do it myself, but you can experiment with that.)

The thing is that when in edit mode all it says is "Edit Mode" at the top and does nothing else.

Hmm. Is there no plus sign on the left side of the window? If there is, you can click on that and the menu should show:

Ultima know has a texture, but it's just a recolored asteroid texture since there are no official maps of Ultima.

Will this be updated again once official maps are available?

I don't know since this model is made of two spheres father then being one large model. Any way this was just made to be a basic model at some point someone from the Celestia Origin team will make a more accurate model at some point.

Actually there already is a 3D model of 2014 MU69 in Celestia Origin and it looks pretty accurate.

Update: Now Ultima has has a smoother and more accurate model.
