Post #1by Anthony_B_Russo10 » 17.07.2018, 23:27

Warning if you made update
For moon of Pluto, the parent is Pluto or Pluto-Charon according to the system that everyone has set up.

For system Pluto-Charon:

Code: Select all

Modify "Hydra:Pluto III:134340 Pluto III:2005 P 1" "Sol/Pluto-Charon"
{
   # The rotation of Hydra is chaotic; we don't attempt to model
   # the rotation exactly, but instead use non-zero precession rate to
   # make the rotation appear somewhat irregular.
   PrecessingRotation
   {
       Inclination       96.362  # pole at time of
       AscendingNode    223.077  # Voyager 2 encounter
       Period          10.308   # 5-day best-fit rotation
       PrecessionPeriod   0.0192 # 7-day wobble in light curve
   }
}

Modify "Nix:Pluto II:134340 Pluto II:2005 P 2" "Sol/Pluto-Charon"
{
   # The rotation of Nix is chaotic; we don't attempt to model
   # the rotation exactly, but instead use non-zero precession rate to
   # make the rotation appear somewhat irregular.
   PrecessingRotation
   {
       Inclination       96.190  # pole at time of
       AscendingNode    223.202  # Voyager 2 encounter
       Period          43.896   # 5-day best-fit rotation
       PrecessionPeriod   0.0192 # 7-day wobble in light curve
   }
}
