Maps of future continents ^Credit to Roberto Basso^

This is an updated version of the maps provided in Roberto Basso's Deriva del Continenti script. Most credit goes to him, Christopher Scotese, and the original creators of the maps. Since I also have an interest in Paleography, I decided to make these maps. It includes future maps (the small version of the script has future maps, but the coordinates of Australia and Antarctica are incorrect), and an updated version of the first Proterozoic map. The future maps might be of bad quality, but I think they are okay. Feel free to use it in any addon that you are making, just give me and the original creators credit.

Joey

Update 1.1: Corrected inaccurate timestamps for future maps.

Thank you for the update. I will check this out as I rebuild my pure science Celestia. Thanks for the work.

Hi Joey P.
Just one suggestion: provided that for this kind of maps a resolution of almost 2k (1996x983) is useless, so you could better use the same 1024x512 Basso used in his original ones, I suggest you to slightly modify the "Future" maps trying to obtain similar color hues and densities.
I mean what I show you in this example, obtained with 5 minutes of Photoshop size reduction. new water color and overall brightening.
IMO now crossing from 000t to 100f maps the difference is no more so "traumatic".
Do you agree?

you are aware that the site the images are on is NON free
-- extracted from the page source
http://www.easybytez.com/j79vrs1z2c7q
and
http://www.easybytez.com/u9y65paha58b

easybytez.com really dose NEED a "premium" account
and the "free"
one requires a 150 second WAIT before downloading and all my security TURNED OFF

i for one will NOT wait 150 seconds just to see some random image

as to the add on ( Continental Drift.zip)
there is a issue with mixed capitalization
the ssc has a " Earth*" and a "earth.*" but the image is a dds format
Not all operating systems support that image format
also one of the jpeg's is a all cap file extension "600t.JPG"
most operating systems are cap sensitive
there is ONLY one major OS that is not

Sorry John, I'm Premium on easybytez, so I supposed that it was simple to upload there the images I wished to show in Celestia Forum, as I do with other forums.
I used easypremium because I've still not clear where I have to go to upload Celestia images (yes, I saw the username and the PWD, but what is the uploading link?
And, please, how have I to do to link the eventually uploaded images to celestia Forum?
Sorry, I'm not aware of these tricks, I was used to the old, simple Celestia forum way....

When you use the "Full Editor & Preview" option to write a new post or a reply for this forum, you can just drag-and-drop any images onto the post. The forum software is then supposed to automatically insert them into the post.

This has the advantage that the images will always be available in the forum. You don't have to worry about the remote image servers going away or changing their policies. In the past couple of years, several major image services changed how they want you to include their images in forums, breaking everything. :(

Yep ! This is how I lost most of my pictures published here, a "long time" ago.
