Does the colored Venus texture map ever exist as a separate texture map, or is there some kind of code that gives it its color?

Venus looks more colorful with the Mie atmospheric effect, but that's what can make planets look more colorful than they really are. Earth's oceans are dark in reality but look more bright and colorful with the atmosphere and its scattering effect.

Just for information: Celestia and CO works without problems on Windows 11. I checked it personally on the insider version. :wink:

How are the rings of Uranus and Neptune (Jupiter is depicted without rings) in Celestia Origin different from those in vanilla Celestia?

I'm trying to install this on mac OSX, and have followed all instructions. However, when running the installation, terminal goes through each package and it says either "No such file or Directory", or "Permission denied". The installation finishes in less than a second, and when I try to open Celestia, it says "App is damaged and needs to be deleted". Any tips?

Sorry man :) problem solved. All I had to do was move all of the files into my home directory, and it worked fine.
