M62H (Messier 62 Pulsar H)
Shining Beacon in Messier's Collection
M62H.png
The pulsar and its planet.

I think this is the first planetary system in a Messier globular cluster after PSR B1620-26, right? Kinda wish we could refer to these secondaries in Messier entries as Messier planets or something like it.
22-04-2024: Small patch cause apparently M62H still isn't in default.

VHS J1831-5513
Great, there's two red VHSs now

The recently found rogue planet.

Yeah now the reddest known free-floating substellar object is a Jupiter-sized, red-glowing VHS. Kinda neat.

TOI-815
a system with two sub-Neptunes of differing compositions

toi_815.png
Both planets of TOI-815 A

TOI-815 is a binary system comprised of a K-type main sequence star and a red dwarf located about 193.86 lightyears from the solar system. two sub-Neptune-sized planets are currently known to orbit the primary component of the binary, the outer planet is just over 3x the mass of the inner one resulting in the planets of the system having wildly different densities. The TOI-815 A b has a structure resembling many other mini-Neptunes, while TOI-815 A c is likely rocky dominated with a thin volatile-rich layer. Both planets of the system are on near-polar orbits.

Both worlds of HD 290498

HD 290498, aka TOI-544, is a K-type main sequence star located about 134.26 lightyears from the solar system. Two planets are currently known to orbit this star: a transiting, hot, oceanic planet and an eccentric non-transiting planet that's around 1.25x more massive than Neptune.

Nu2 Lupi, aka HD 136352 and TOI-2011, is a G-type main-sequence star located about 48.07 lightyears from the solar system. three planets are known to orbit this star: a hot oceanic planet, and two sub-Neptunes with the outermost on a 100-day orbit. all three planets were initially discovered via RV analysis in 2011 but were only confirmed in 2019. By 2021 all three planets were revealed to transit the star.

a long period transiting sub-Neptune orbiting one of two G-type stars

toi_4633_A_c_photo.png
TOI-4633 A c with TOI-4633 B in the background

TOI-4633 is a binary system comprised of two G-type main sequence stars located about 309.1 lightyears from the solar system. at least one planet is known to orbit one of the stars in the system, a sub-Neptune with rather high though very unconstrained mass on a long period orbit near the edge of it's host's habitable zone. There is also an additional candidate gas giant on a 35 day orbit around one of the stars in this system. Due to the proximity of the host stars, it is currently unknown which planet orbits which star or if they both orbit the same star. In this case, they are both modeled around the primary.

2MASS J2117-2940

Post #532by Trolligi 112477 » 30.07.2024, 16:22

2MASS J2117-2940
A nearby sub-brown dwarf with a transiting sub-Earth "exomoon"

2MASS J21171431-2940034 is a 7-Jupiter-mass T0-type sub-brown dwarf located just over 62 light years away, in the Beta Pictoris moving group. In 2024, a transit signal was observed, suggesting the existence of a transiting exoplanet/exomoon 77% the size of Earth orbiting the star every 1.5 days.

K2-33
So everyone can host rings and moons now?
K2-33.png
K2-33, with its transiting ringed planet.

K2-33b.png
...how do YOU of all things have rings?

So, this is an update of an addon i did a while back. And apparently anyone can have rings and/or moons now. Ridiculous, this planet is too young, close, and small for that! But who am i to question things...

the massive planet that orbits TIC 241249530

TIC 241249530 is an F-type main-sequence star located about 1103 light years from the solar system. This star is known to host a transiting, massive hot-Jupiter progenitor gas giant on a retrograde, hyper-eccentric 165.77 day orbit.
