And here's an alternate model for Toutatis. Same old model, with noise added to the mesh, and a smoother (higher resolution) surface :

That is perhaps true, but any resource for potential add-on creators can be invaluable even if it only contains pictures of a certain asteroid. Did you not notice the data listed on the page for some of the asteroids which are used in Celestia? All information is useful in order to create realistic add-ons. Just FYI... :wink:

yeap i noticed the data, but i was thinking it would show instructions or steps in 3dmax.

although i rember something from somewhere but id have to find the link.

For a better rendering, don't overwrite the textures in their SSC file (of course, the SSC included in the pack is just to show the models in Celestia).

Yeah, thanks very much Martin.
I absolutely love having the ability to choose different asteroid textures
depending on the type of asteroid, etc.
