Many thanks for your support! There's still a lot I want to create.

And anyone who wants to send suggestions, feel free.

I think the moon should have a similar color to iapetus as the real possible submoon was most likely an iapetus shard from a impact
but i can do this myself, so no pressure

Here is an alternate version of the fictional submoon of Titan. As I did with large size of submoon in this version I use the asteroid-large.cmod model.

I also want to point out that on Titan's submoon, it is possible to simulate several Cassini flybys. Several occur, from 800-15,000 km away. But on August 25, 2009, it is possible to see a flyby just 300 km away from the submoon. Which for a 140 km diameter submoon is ABSURDLY close.

NOTE: The orbital parameters of the submoon have not been modified. And so in the previous version of the submoon you can also see Cassini flybys.

Ulluno

Post #25by SpaceExplorer » 23.04.2022, 23:11

Here it is, Ulluno, a fictional ice giant orbiting the Sun between the orbits of Uranus and Neptune. The planet has a blue-purple color and an atmosphere with a reddish glow.

Ulluno has five moons: The moon Ulluno I is the largest and closest moon. It is the only one with a spherical shape. The moons Ulluno II, Ulluno III and Ulluno IV are irregular and are a little further away. Finally, Ulluno V is the most distant moon, and the smallest of them, in an elliptical orbit around Ulluno.

Below, download the addon and a series of images of Ulluno and some of your moons:

I probably won't post any addons this next week, I have to create new addons and that might take a while.

update: its getting closer! (2nd image from the bottom)
update 2: closer... (3rd image from the bottom)
update 3: ok thats basically the closest they can get (top image)

That must have been pure coincidence lol

In the future I want to create a planet two or three bigger than Jupiter, and with hundreds of moons. It will be far away from the Sun, in the middle of the Oort Cloud.

Yes. In this Solar System with fictitious objects, this planet would be responsible for sending comets towards the main Solar System.

Yes, based on Tyche. But it will be further from the Sun and will be larger. In addition to the fact of its multiple moons. I intend 200 moons around the new planet, it will certainly take a long time to do.

yup....200 moons is a LOT to do, might take 2+weeks to get it done, also check PMs, i PMed you about something

Perhaps some moons could be 100 AU away from the planet, as there will be a huge hill sphere. I'll have to rack my brains to guess what an orbital period of this type will be. Maybe I'll use Universe Sandbox 2 for help.

this might help

also, if you want to calculate hill sphere sizes, this could also help (note that it is the hill sphere radius, not diameter)

Straerus, the immense planet in the Oort Cloud, three times the size of Jupiter. And an orbital period of 5.45 million years. The overall planet is ready, and a small moon has already been added. Still need to add 199.
