Mm. I actually tried to populate the Fornax Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy like the other galaxies. However, the galaxy is ellipsoidal, which makes calculating the distance more of a hassle. I'm putting that on hold for right now and might try other galaxies like Leo A...

If you can do this until the middle of April, it would be great.

That project looks great. Thank you very much for your time. I hope I'll give it a try very soon.
By the way, I noticed that you've placed real stars in various galaxies, which is very neat. I remember I had made an addon that adds fictional stars in Ursa Minor Dwarf Galaxy. I just wonder if this galaxy is in your to-do list. If yes, you can use my addon if you wish. Populating it with real star would be great.

Hello! I know about your addon for a long time. However, I do not add it because the stars are fictitious. We have no fictional objects (except Russell's Teapot ).

I know. I just wonder if you're going to add real stars in this galaxy. By the way, are there any catalogues with actual information about real stars in this galaxy? Just curious.

We ourselves can not. Hope only for LukeCEL.:smoke: And if only these stars are in the SIMBAD database.

Added 1601 real stars of the Sculptor Dwarf Galaxy.
Great work! Where can I get add-on? Or do I have to wait for your next batch of release?

I tried to add stars to the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy (Sagittarius dSph) but it didn't turn out well. This galaxy is scattered, and it's not very well defined. So when I tried to plot the stars, it ended up looking like this:

Added after 58 seconds:
P. S. Art Blos, how do I add pictures in-line like you do?

After attaching the picture to the post, appears to the left the button "Insert to message text".

A similar question I asked a few days ago, where can I download the "added 3K-texture" files?

and why a 3000 px image ???

graphics cards work most efficiently with images that are a " power of two "

as to the image ??
i am guessing this one "PIA19977" from 2015

John, is there really a good reason to only use power-of-2 textures? I've never had any problems or performance issues with non-power-of-2 textures. Sometimes the source material is in a different size and rescaling it either negatively effects image quality or file size.
