About that site...do a search on the forum for any of the addon creators there, e.g. "bdfd". It looks like they were all banned for copyright violations. I think jujuapapa may be a sockpuppet of one of these users.

Edit: I should not have used the word sockpuppet.

juajuapapa is not a sockpuppet. He has posted here many times before and is a legitimate user.

Then why does he keep linking to a website created by banned forum users?

When I said "sockpuppet" I wasn't implying he has another active account.

Edit: I should not have used the word sockpuppet.

But celestiaaddons.wixsite.com was created by banned forum users. See for example here:

John Van Vliet wrote:just to let people know
h t t p : / / c e l e s t i a a d d o n s . w i x s i t e . c o m / c e l e s t i a a d d o n s
looks to be all
bdfd,
Olyv,
pla879,
wieczor,
mraab, ...

all startrek and i believe all one person that was banned

Why else would he keep posting links to it, especially since as CM1215 and SpaceFanatic64 said the models there are not actually better?

I should not have used the word sockpuppet. jujuapapa is not a sockpuppet any more than Sirius_Alpha is (they previously used the name Hungry4info). What I am saying is that jujuapapa may be one of the users who was banned some years ago for copyright violations.

Hi,

A lot of noise for not much.
some even are sometimes paranoid ... :insane:

Where are the copyrights of the presented models here ? :fie:

The goal was to show that there are other models for some years and they are textured ... not just colored (or black & white)
(except wieczor's rosetta which is not a good example).

Toutatis,

on the site, http://scifleet.esa.int/#/model-downloads, there is a model of Philae with the feet deployed (3ds files and tex for texture). It could be integrated into your timeline just before landing.

For those who would like to position Philae on the floor of 67P b:

Code: Select all

   Beginning "2014 11 12 18:40:00"
    # This position was discovered on a photo taken by Rosetta during one of his passages around the comet before his dive on 67P
   FixedPosition
   {
      Planetographic [ -10 -10 0 ]
   }

If you look closely at toutatis's models, you can see that they are in fact textured, just the textures are either black, white, or blue (for the solar panels) in most cases, especially with his Rosetta model.

Okay Gironde... I will see... but I can change models and manipulate with it in any manners... ... so I can to deploy the feet of Philae probe which we have already...

From now on, let's ignore whatever jujuapapa says. He's just a troll who's trying to spark debates among us.

Yes of course; you know your model.
I had one with my feet extended but 2 feet by 3 were also folded up and there were no antennas.

Great models of Rosetta and Philae. I especially like textures.
Is it possible to do the descent sequence of Philae? Something similar to Huygens's descent to Titan.

It would be a fantastic addon!

When we have no a trajectory data it's a very hard task...

So what is this sockpuppet talk?

Joey P., the website celestiaaddons.wixsite.com was created by some users who were banned from this forum some years ago for copyright violations, as you can see if you do a search on the forum for any of their names. Since jujuapapa keeps posting links to it saying the models there are better - when actually the models in this thread are better - I think he may be one of those banned users. I did retract my use of the word "sockpuppet" because it is not quite right.

SevenSpheres assumes jujupapa to be a sockpuppet(Now retracted) of a member whose original account is banned in Celestia.
