In "Celestia Origin" absent a space elevator, we do not add fictional objects. And those real spacecrafts that we add are not heavy for a computer. I personally control it.

I was working on protoplanetary disks for Vega and Fomalhaut. I finished it a few weeks ago, and I think that would be a great addition to Celestia Origin.

Unless you have all these satellites rendered at the same time (which wont happen in praxis) you should not experience any more lag than usual..

This addon is not realistic. Why Fomalhaut rings have different "poisonous" colors? Why Vega have such a saturated blue ring (star white with a barely noticeable blue tinge)? It would be enough to leave one gray texture, and Celestia would paint rings with the right shade depending on the stellar spectral class.

I based it of real images taken by Hubble and Chandra.

Don't forget that most Hubble images and all Chandra images are "false color". The coloration is applied by researchers in order to accentuate the details that they're studying. They are not "true color" images showing what you'd see with the "naked eye".

Ok, gotta make the textures all grey.

Added after 36 minutes 51 seconds:
Updated the file. Thanks to Selden for pointing out that Hubble/Chandra images are false color, and thanks to Art Blos for pointing that Celestia colors protoplanetary disks with the light of the star. Only Fomalhaut C's disk is colored.
