Partial solar eclipse of Oct 25, 2022

Post #12by EarthMoon » 25.10.2022, 08:31

Today is an astronomical event: A partial solar eclipse. The moon's shadow begins on Iceland at sunrise and ends in India at sunset.

The maximum eclipse will be reached in Sibiria, at 61.6°N, 77.4°E

I made an addon that shows the path of the moon's shadow on a texture map and a small script.
It is also the first one in my new "Eclipses" series, a series of addons showing solar and lunar eclipses. The next one will be published on
Nov 8, 2022 (a total lunar eclipse).
