I had managed to find the archive of SDO data of our Sun so that I can make a new 8k texture for our parent star. These images were projected onto a sphere using Cinema 4D, which were then baked, and then stitched together in Photoshop (along with being color-edited to be compatable with Celestia). I decided to use data from April 2014, because that was the last time the Sun was at its solar maximum, and there were plenty of sunspots.

Update 11/5/21: Fixed an issue where one of the Sun's alternative names dissapeared. Go redownload the addon.

8k SDO Sun (April 2014)
Been into Astronomy since the age of 3 or 4. Started making planetary textures back in late 2016. 3D animator who makes high quality animations in Cinema 4D. Likes to sometimes, deliberately torment myself with the stupid green screaming apatosaurus that is Arlo.
