Welcome, Internaut!

If I understand correctly,
the unzipped folder
means the "Installers" folder. The one requirement for this folder (for a simplification of an installation) is to be at the same level as the downloaded .7z archive(s), not the Celestia app folder. But you also can specify the archive's address during installation, what's the question in the terminal:
File "Celestia Origin v.12 - Core (30.10.2020).7z" not found.
Please specify the path to it without filename

So, enter the path to archives or place the "Installers" folder and downloaded .7z files at the same folder and try again.

P.S. Note that the installation script from the torrent has a bug at the installing medres and hires data on macOS, so replace the script file in the "Installers" folder with one from attachment:
viewtopic.php?p=151561#p151561

If you want to install the core only you may use the original file.

Good luck!

the fact that this guy posted this message like 18 days ago and no one has helped is sad
"Carbon stars with ancient satellites colonized by sentient fungi. Gas giants inhabited by vast meteorological intelligences. Worlds stretched thin across the membranes where the dimensions intersect... impossible to describe with our limited vocabulary."

CO has no nix model and the current nix texture isn't the best AFAIK
so
i have a nix model for CO+a texture in this thread i made yesterday
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=21049

Added after 1 minute 39 seconds:
i am currently working on fictional textures for hydra, and kerberos (i need to fix a mesh issue for styx before i do any textures for it)

Added after 4 minutes 58 seconds:
the model is made for that certain texture that is in the thread
(the gurren texture modified by me one)

No, since I have an almost finished model of Nix based on real data.

Also, it may be interesting for you: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4284631

when will it be finished
and are you also doing a texture too?
my nix map projection is a bit off...

um.....hydra is a 2 lobed object

Added after 1 minute 5 seconds:
kerberos is also possibly a 2 lobed object

Added after 2 minutes 15 seconds:
but its hard to tell due to kerberos and styx being the worst imaged moons
charon, nix, and hydra were the best imaged of the plutonian moons
+hydra rotated a lot during approch

oumuamua could use somthing of its own
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21060&p=153366#p153366
(replace CO current code of oumuamua with the one in my ssc (you can add Visible False if needed, but don't add semiaxis or atlease don't un # it or else it would squish my mesh to the point you can't see it...)

Could you shut already? ...sorry, i got too carried away.
Remenber what i said to you a gazillion times on Discord:

Gurren et al. 2021:
Here's a tip
Dont make addons with a reason like "because i WANT then in CO"
You have to make addons that deserve CO inclusion, not addons that you make for the sole reason to add they to CO
Next time, i will have to call upon the staff on this, because this is already absurd.

Anyway, back on topic!
Do you guys plan to add 2020 VT4 at some point?

hey!
#1 oumuamua could use some spotlight
it doesn't desearve to be just a boaring rock that looks like any other asteroid

#2 nix don't have a mesh made for it

#3 don't tell me to shut up

#4 stop treating me like dog poop :zombie:

Both of you stop this now, before it escalates into an argument.

Trappist, Gurren is correct that you shouldn't make addons just to get them in CO. Posting links to all your addons in the CO thread isn't a serious offense, but it is annoying. Just post addons in their own threads; the CO devs will see them, and if they want to include them in CO, they will.
My Addons: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=19978 • Discord server admin
Celestia versions: 1.5.1, 1.6.1, 1.6.2, 1.7.0, and some unofficial versions like Celestia-ED
