Interesting: A "binary star system" that was once thought to be within the confines of the Andromeda Galaxy 2.5 million light years away is revealed to be a supermassive black hole binary pair more than 1000 times the distance of the Andromeda Galaxy to us, at around 2.6 billion light years. The pair, despite the distance was so bright that it "photobombed" the galaxy, and was initially classified as being part of the galaxy. They are also the most tightly-bound supermassive black holes seen yet. Sure, it's old news, since the article was dated December 1, 2017 but if current research of it remains consistent, then it must be a real supermassive black hole binary, and therefore, something for you to add to your black hole addons. Unless you already started working on it.

Have you considered making TON 618 and Holmberg 15A? If not, well, perhaps these may give you a head start:

For TON 618:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TON_618
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q45067390
http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/nph-objsearch ... 0.0&list_limit=5&img_stamp=YES
http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-id?Ident=TON 618&submit=submit id

For Holmberg 15A:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holmberg_15A
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q19773692
http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-id?Ident=Abell 85&submit=submit id

Just doing my share to keep this Forum and this topic alive, since Black Holes are my favorite objects, and I'm willing to give you any info that I can regarding black holes. Well, anyway, these are just for a start

Added after 9 minutes 27 seconds:
Note: Holmberg 15A refers to the Galaxy itself, not the black hole which it hosts. Holmberg 15A is also known as Abell 85-BCG, meaning that it is the biggest and most massive galaxy of the Abell 85 Galaxy Cluster

Lafuente_Astronomy black holes TON 618 and Holmberg 15A are successfully added

Also added black holes of the following galaxies: IC 1101 SDSS J1148+5251 NGC 6166 APM 08279+5255 and many others (30 black holes added today) .

I will soon add the black hole of galaxy NGC 2832 to the mass of 17.223 billion MSol.

I work hard on the black holes.
Don't worry about it.

I just... I can't answer that.
Too busy as Celestia and Astronomy.
And so did others.

Comparison of black holes (currently the most massive)

There are 6 black holes.

2.png

    6) SDSS J102325.31+514251.0 (33 billion MSol)
    5) Blazar S5 0014+81 (40 billion MSol)
    4) black hole of the largest known galaxy IC 1101 (40 billion MSol).
    3) black hole Holmberg 15A (which I have unofficially named Velial -one of the most powerful demons (48 billion MSol).
2)TON 618 (unofficially named Apukh - king of hell by the Mayans)
Given that the TON 618 quasar was first opened at the Mexico Observatory... the name would be appropriate
1)"Azathoth" SDSS J1408 with its 196 billion masses of Sun (this object in the foreground always and it closes everyone).
Maybe a little more than 201 billion masses of Sol, but that's my own calculations and it's controversial.

Vision, that is really so nice of you! Thanks for having already included TON 618, Holmberg 15A and more! And you actually added 30 black holes today? That's really an achievement that you deserve! But then i think such activity dwarfs all the other active you did on all the other black holes, since you clearly had added more black holes in your addons everyday I think.

Well, that can be done. One big Black Hole addon, and then he will just post the updates from time to time

Maybe a little spellcheck: Formally, Azatot should have 2 H's. The first is between the T and the O, and the second is after the last T, so it makes it "AZATHOTH". However, I do understand that you wrote the name based on how it is formed in the Cyrillic Alphabet

I’ve only been black holes lately
Although I plan to return to exoplanetology soon. I missed exploring other worlds

Yes. That's my error
Correct name is Azathoth
I wrote this at night. No wonder I was error

Ok. Accepted

Oh. Well, perhaps you can someday teach me or anyone here how to make black holes your way, with the calculations and all. And if you improve your black hole creation down the line in the years to come, you can also teach us how to do that as well. Either way, I really wanted to create my own black holes, fictional or real, just that I do not have such skill as you right now. But I know that if you can teach me that, I'll be able to properly create my own black holes easily and in no time. Right now, this is how far I got in making a black hole:
Terminus.jpg

But I know that with time, and with learnings, from you, from me or otherwise, I'll become even better.

I actually created that black hole as an element in one of my conceptual stories (I'm not a writer BTW, just some guy who has a wide imagination, and as such, would like to put that in writing for my use only), which I named Terminus based on one of the Latin Word for "End", and its designation, Lafuentenaria X-15 based on my surname and because 15 was a number I just randomly generated for it. I made that Black Hole by copying all the stats of WR 101de/GCIRS 13NE, and scaling them down to a small size, since I envisioned Terminus to be a 5 Solar-Mass black hole, and as such, a Small Stellar-Mass Black Hole. Of course, I only knew the mass and diameter size, and the other radii of the Ergosphere, the accretion disks and all the sections, I just did my best guesses at the possible radii of such objects into my black hole. If there is a proper way to calculate the radii of the other objects aside from the Black Hole's Event Horizon, I want to know how. Other than that, thank you for making such majestic black holes that look(and feel, in a sense) so good and are truly good in Celestia

SVision wrote:I think I'll do it

Nice! That way, you'll just have to add things little by little, be it new black holes or new improvements to the black holes

SVision wrote:Yes. That's my error

I'm gad to be of any help to you. Of course, while I didn't fully read the Cthulhu Mythos, I just read the Call Of Cthulhu today, and I must say, while the prospects of actual monsters sleeping in alien cities underneath oceans and having a network of worshipers could be truly terrifying, those are nothing compared to the real threats that abound in the cosmos in real life. Cosmic Horror, as a whole may be one of the few fictional genres that could be realistic in a sense. It doesn't have to be cosmic monsters that makes anyone go mad, destroy whole stars and planets or end the universe by waking up. It could just be a large impactor, a Gamma-Ray Burst aimed directly at Earth, a starquake from a Magnetar, or worse of all, if we get instantly teleported to the range of a black hole or create a 1 millimeter to 1 centimeter black hole by accident

SVision wrote:Ok. Accepted

I'm aware of that. However, many underworlds in myth and religion can be interrelated to its ruler, like Hades for example, though the example I used goes across two different religions and cultures. While in Greek Myth, he rules the Underworld but in the Bible's Book of Revelation, he is synonymous with Hell.

Of course you can Lafuente_Astronomy
I don't mind

But there's still a long way to go to the next release.
There's plenty of stars in the Arch cluster for me to "conquer" them alone so quickly.
It takes time.

That's ok. I'll just post all your photos of the latest stuff in your Milky Way Center addon to at least hype up the members of what you will deliver And I know you will deliver beyond perfection. Take all the time you need. I don't mind if it will be released next month, next year, next decade for in forever. I know that you will really make it well beyond perfection with all that time in your hands. So, take your time and do with it what you truly think is best.

With SVision's blessing, I will share to you some of the screenshots he made of his upcoming update of his Milky Way Center Addons, his WR 111 System Addons, his Arches Addons and some of his other addons. It really does look good indeed and while it's already perfect, it will become better and more perfect as he continues his improvements. So, stay tuned for more

After a long lull, I post the addon again

Today I suggest you take a virtual space journey to the very old Terzan 1 globular cluster

This place is very interesting, although I expected much more

This addon appeared purely by accident

I will be the admin of the astro group in one of the social estimates
And we had a post dedicated to this star cluster. Allegedly it consists mainly of giant stars
And then the idea came to me - why not myself check and find out what stars this "star house" consists of?

I studied. And ... famous stars were not impressed ...
These are red subgiants or RR Lyrae variables ...
There are still some double stars but there is nothing particularly interesting about them.

In fact, there certainly are big stars ... I looked at NASA's extragalactic database and found over 10000 stars that seem to belong to Terzan 1.
But the problem is that there are too many errors and not enough data. New studies are needed to understand which of the 10,000 stars are Terzan 1 and which are just background stars

But in fact, surrounded by Terzan 1, the most interesting thing is not the stars
Chandra discovered 14 globular clusters that are located further than Terzan 1
Little is known to us about these globular clusters.
It is approximately clear to us that they are quite small, dense and very close to Terzan 1. We also know their absolute magnitude. But that’s all
These globular star clusters await our new research.

In the meantime, you can “see live” this location in the Universe

installation

1)Download and unzip to the extras folder
2)Download files, create a file in the extras folder, place the files in your folder

WARNING!

To avoid the appearance of a clone of the globular cluster Terzan 1, delete the old object from the data directory

This all looks good Vision. Truly another masterpiece. And definitely your first posted addon which is not a black hole. While I personally love black holes the best, I know that any other object in the cosmos is beautiful and amazing in their own rights, and thus, deserves to be made perfectly. I'm downloading it right now, and I'll be sending some screenshots of it, though I have a brightness bug which heavily reduces the render of brightness in stars

Once again, congratulations and may there be more projects of yours to come

Posting here for posterity.

I did not make the original sprite models. Cham made them using Wolfram Alpha, iirc. I had absolutely zero hand in the creation of these models.

Hope this helps. :)
