For heaven's sake, people, why are we not staying on topic now? Let's just go back to talking about the largest stars and not writing just *facepalm* (though I did that to but to prove my point).

Your fault. And this is NOT your topic.

Yes, I know that this is my fault but can we just please move on? I won't post in this thread any longer.

Alright. It's just that they don't like you that much though. You'll have to live with it, or better yourself for the better

Or just act like an actual 17-year-old instead of a 5-year-old. Simple.

Hi nussun, I noticed that your updated add-on is still missing HIP/TYC designations for a few stars, for example:

HD 143183 = TYC 8710-1370-1
AH Sco = TYC 7365-527-1
S Per = HIP 11093
EV Car = TYC 8956-3486-1
NR Vul = TYC 2144-1244-1
IX Car = HIP 52991
V602 Car = TYC 8959-707-1
BI Cyg = TYC 2684-522-1
RS Per = TYC 3694-1293-1

I may be missing some. Hope this helps,
Luke

That is most likely due to my former obsession with Martha Speaks which I have now grown out of, but back to topic.

Ok stop saying to go back to talking about the main topic. To me, the person who created the topic in the first place (nussun in this case) or maybe any of the moderators of the Celestia forum, should be the only ones who can say to return to the topic.

Also, LukeCEL was already getting back to the main topic.

This addon was good until the largest stars file in the special stars folder was added in Art Blos' Celestia Origin: https://celestia.space/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21114
Now only the stars other than those mentioned there can be used and some have to be used for modification for more proper radii as opposed to the highly false radii rendered without it.

Though this along with CO's largest stars folder render Westerlund 1-26 as 1,530 to 1,580 Solar radii based on SIMBAD's data even when the others said its 1,165 to 1,221 Solar radii based on other data.

And VV Cephei A is said to be 1,000 x Sol's radius in 1 present method while others said it was 1,050 Sol radii based on the (also present) photometric method of 0.00638 arcseconds in eclipse timings (which isn't a very big difference considering the sheer total radius of such a star) whereas VV Cephei B's radius ranges anywhere from 13 to 25 Solar radii.

Though either way all that's a lot more accurate than a radius of 3,900 x Sol's for example.

Now in 2020, Betelgeuse was calculated to be only 764 x Sol's radius and ~547.9 light years from Sol: http://www.sci-news.com/astronomy/betelgeuse-size-distance-08957.html
This puts Betelgeuse on the list in this addon (which's about stars over 700 Solar radii).
