Hi-res Ganymede texture

Post #1by SpaceFanatic64 » 10.09.2018, 22:01

Does anybody have a high resolution Ganymede texture? The resolution must be at least 8K or higher. If anyone has it, I'd be more than happy to use it.

SpaceFanatic64, the first version of Celestia Origin contained a 16k VT surface texture & an 8k (I think) normal map of Ganymede. These textures have been replaced, however, as of the December 30th release (v.2). The surface texture was replaced with an 8k variant, and the normal map was replaced with a 4k variant.

The first version of Celestia Origin can be downloaded here: ./viewtopic.php?f=23&t=17804

If you prefer to not use the .torrent file download, look for the first post on the second page, and there, Janus has a link to download the .zip file. It is called "Celestia Origin (30.08.2017).zip".

Oh, ok. But all I really wanted for John Van Vliet's 8k Ganymede surface texture addon.

I'm aware of this, as a few months back you gave me the download.
