Yet Blender looks very good. I found that Blender exports in 3DS (and others) but never the included textures.

Gironde... try with Wings 3D... I made my first satellite 3D model with this software... and it export textures and other things... in 3ds as well...

Added after 2 minutes 18 seconds:
Gipparcos model can be created with Wings 3D easy... with textures... I am sure..

The Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON) is a satellite designed to investigate changes in the Earth's ionosphere. It is scheduled to launch on a date to be determined, 2018/2019 as part of NASA's Explorers program and operated by UC Berkeley's Space Sciences Laboratory. ICON will study the interaction between Earth's weather systems and space weather driven by the Sun, and how this interaction drives turbulence in the upper atmosphere. It is hoped that a better understanding of this dynamic will mitigate its effects on communications, GPS signals, and technology in general....

NASA and Northrop Grumman have postponed the launch of the agency’s Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON) satellite. ICON, which will study the frontier of space, was targeted to launch on a Pegasus XL rocket June 14 from the Kwajalein Atoll in Marshall Islands. During a ferry transit, Northrop Grumman saw off-nominal data from the Pegasus rocket. …

ICON model is ready for Celestia now... we waiting for the start of the main spacecraft to get orbital elements...

I want to create a model of the most famous rocket stage in the world called Centaur... I guess that everyone here know about this great rocket boosters... today I started work with this project... (Centaur has been designed to be the upper stage of space launch vehicles and is used on the Atlas V. Centaur was the world's first high-energy upper stage, burning liquid hydrogen (LH2) and liquid oxygen (LOX). Centaur has enabled the launch of some of NASA's most important scientific missions during its 50-year history.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centaur_(rocket_stage))

Here in the picture is part of the model I made today... tomorrow will start work with the engines...
