Well I gave this a shot tonight, but I can not find this "smart remove selection".
I am running Gimp 2.6.6.

I put the exe file in C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins
It shows up under Filters/Map. Nothing under filters/enhance.
Here is a shot of it.

i've just read it. Very understandable and a detailed illustrated explanation.
I guess this will helps me to win over my own stupidity a bit.
And the "polar pinches" do not spread
phobos & deimos (=fear and fright) any more
