Hi, I have the next question

I would like to be able to travel to a certain position in space and when I stop travelling I want to know my exact position at that point. ( RA and DEC etc.. etc), not related to the object to where I am travelling.
So, when I know that position I can draw my own imaginary add-ons there.

While Celestia doesn't immediately display that information, you can determine the approximate values.

To get the distance, type the letter "h"
The distance from the Sun will appear in the upper left corner of Celestia's window.

To get the approximate RA and Dec, turn on the Celestial Grid (in the Render / View Options menu)
Type the two letters "hc" to center the sun
Type the single character "*" to "look backward"
Carefully measure the center of the window relative to the grid. You may need to change the window size and/or the field of view (type the characters "," or "." as appropriate).

I agree that it would be nice if Celestia did show the exact location of the current viewpoint.

Hmmm. That may already be possible with a CELX script, however. I'm not a CELX expert.

Yes, I agree that the coordinates of an object should be a standard part of Celestia's info corners. I have the same opinion on semi-major-axis of planets. Celestia should show it in the info.
