Calibration of Home and End buttons

Each time,it??s more frequent that when I press the Home button 2 or 3 times, the screen goes inside Earth and when I do the same with the End button,I go to a few light years from Sun.Is this lack of calibration a bug?
My mouse scroll is lacking precision,though...

Since Each time, is more frequent, I would try to discard the influence of physical malfunctions and planetary debris in the keyboard. If those keys stayed hooked for a short time the user could see the behaviour you describe, while (s)he wouldn't note anything wrong when using the usual Home/End functions in documents (5 quick "End" may give the same result that a single one). Yes, the chance of having two defective keys in a short time should be little, but I know for certain that it increases dramatically when there is much traffic of liquids over the keyboard.

A temporary replacement of the keyboard can help to discard such hardware problem, and some tests with other applications and with a key-detection utility (for example "xev" in Linux) may narrow the problem to clarify if it is located in some layer of the OS, other applications or Celestia itself.

Alternatively you can use ctrl+leftbutton_drag for precise movement.
