This May sound stupid, but what program do you use to open data file such as solarsys.ssc? I have opened it with wordpad but all I get for font, is squares with a little english here and there.

Notepad rocks, man. It's the best Microsoft program ever. Notepad has never crashed. It does what it says. I've never had to look in help. There are no stupid functions that a) don't work and b) you'll never use. There are no paperclips at all. Just compare it to Word...

Thank you note pad works perfect. Now if I just figure out how to get celestia to let me view the earth I will be a happy camper. :D

this is totally offtopic, but since pico was mentioned --
I love the program, I use it every day, I can undo the stupid
linewraps in my sleep (and vi is just for die hard Real Programmers)
but: why does it freeze when I press ctrl-s ?? I mean, this behaviour
has not gone away over several versions. Is that a feature or
something? (it's hard to remember not to press ctrl-s when you
have just been using emacs :)

cheers,

pico

It's not a bug it's a feature of the console! So it won't go away. Ctrl+S is a shortcut for Scroll Lock. To unlock press Ctrl+Q or the Scroll Lock key.
