Viewing Moonship-1 and Moonship-2

Post #1by SpaceRanger » 28.02.2006, 19:09

I'm running Celestia 1.4.1 on a Mac G4 under OS 10.4.5. When I attempt to display Moonship-1 and Moonship-2, the vehicles do not display fully, i.e. some of the pressure spheres about the central core of the vehicles don't appear.

Any suggestions?

SpaceRanger.

I just now downloaded that Addon from the Motherlode, and both display fine on my system.

Can you make a screenshot and put it on a Web server so that people can see exactly what problem you're having?

I fear it's likely to be due to a bug in the Mac graphics software :(

The following is a screen print of what I'm getting.

BTW, I installed Moonships on my G4 Powerbook running Mac OS 10.4.5 and Celestia 1.4.0 and the correct image appears.

SpaceRanger,

I suggest when you post an image like this, that you should convert it to JPG format first. That PNG is 800K and takes a long time to display (and prob. takes you even longer to upload).
JPG format should reduce that to something like a tenth of it's size.

I'd suggest submitting a problem report to Apple. It really seems to be a bug in their OpenGL driver for your graphics card.
