Drag zoom in OS X

Post #1by mduser63 » 27.10.2005, 02:36

I just downloaded Celestia today. It seems really great, but I'm having a small problem. According to the user's guide, you can zoom in and out by clicking the right and left mouse buttons and moving the mouse. Alternatively, you can use control-left-click to do the same thing. As a third alternative, you can use a scroll wheel. None of these options work for me. Right and left click-dragging doesn't work, instead it behaves as if I were only doing a left-click drag. Control left-click brings up a shortcut menu. The scroll wheel does nothing at all.

I'm running OS X 10.3.9 (and 10.4.2, same thing under both) with a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer (and a Mighty Mouse on the other machine). Any tips/workarounds? Am I missing something?

Thanks.

Have you tried to press Option, Command and Shift keys while draging the mouse ? Try various combinations of those keys.

Thanks, command-left-click-drag works. Perhaps the user's guide should be changed mention this?
