not able to capture images

before I install the nvdriver for my geforce2 pro, the image capture works perfectly ( but celestia runs slowly )
now with the nvdriver, each time I capture an image a halo of white points appears on a large/square amount of its surface
I play with the nvidia options in XF86Config-4 but without success
have anyone been faced with this problem ?
