Translations... again... and again...

In a folder, deep buried in a dark corner of my computer I have several unfinished celestia-related documents. The reason that I haven??t finished them is that I don??t have enough knowledge about astronomical stuff, different render paths etc. to create a full translation.

This is what I have so far:

A Swedish po-file, completed to about 70%
A swedish manual for Celestia 1.3.2, completed to about 95% (translated last summer).
Swedish translations for some of mr Bob Hegwood??s tour scripts, translated from 30 - 80%.

I can??t put this half-finished work at the Motherlode, so any ideas of what I can do with it? Maybe we should have some kind of "geeenhouse" where people could store their half-finished projects in hope for someone else to complete them.

Again some dim thoughts at 3 o??clock in the morning... Bedtime now... *yawn*

It sounds to me like you need a collaborator who can fill in the blanks for you.

A Wiki is a Web site where many people can collaborate on the contents of its pages.

An English language Celestia Wiki is at
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia
and a French version is at
http://fr.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia

You might want to consider creating a Swedish version of the Celestia Wiki and putting what you've accomplished there.

Hi Selden!

Thanks for the advise! Much appreciated!

Yes, a collaborator would be very handy. The Swedish wikibook-project is quite small, just about 20 books and a quite few participants, but I??ll give it a try tomorrow. The problem here at the Celestia Forum is that I seem to be the only Swede around, so let??s hope that somebody can give me a hand at the wikibook.

Thanks again!
