about celestia sound
Dear Apollo"
the word, "Celestia" is used for more than this Astronomy program. I have seen it in use in at least five different locations, discussing different things.
To the best of my knowledge, our Celestia does not have sounds or music associate with it. Lots of people will play space music on their computer as they use Celestia, but they are not related. The music is played by a computer media player, not Celestia.
That is probably what you have encountered. If you will provide the website of the Celestia sounds, I will check it out and let you know more.

One question. Why would celestia need sounds?
Sound does not propagate in space--only in atmospheres.
Unless..... You could give it the sounds of a spaceship, meaning that you could hear "rocket firings" whenever you hit either the 'a' or 'z' keys, and maybe some sort of "shaking" sound for whenever you enter an atmosphere. That might work, i think....
Of course, many people probably already thought of this. Oh well. lol.

I agree with Selden, that would be VERY, VERY usefull for educationnal activities.
Running a script with sound in Celestia and displaying it on a TV ( or a videoprojector) would be much easier than capturing a video (not that easy with Celestia), editing it, adding sound...
Although I know there are other priorities with Celestia at the moment, I think we have to keep this question of sound in mind...
And I hope that my significant experience in sound configuration and edition will be usefull in a not-so-far future...
