I just downloaded the new Atlantis model and I can't seem to zoom in on it. It is a mere white dot circling the earth. Any way to zoon in on it like the hubble?? (EC_Atlantis model)

Hello,

As the author of the model, it's the first time I hear that...
After selection, Center/Go don't let you approch the white dot?

This usually means that Celestia can't find the model. (The dot is the result of the Albedo declaration in the SSC file.) The model probably is in the wrong directory. Perhaps all files were forcibly restored into the extras directory instead of permitted to be created in the directories as they are in the zip file.

explains how the files need to be organized.

I followed directions from the readme file and it said, "Place the entire EC_Atlantis folder in your "Extras" directory" which I did. But, now, I tried to put it into other folders and now I can't even find the white dot (the shuttle) I will try again.

Do you system can handle cmod files? (old version of Celestia don't)

I am guessing that it could. I have a custom rig I built myself and here is the system stats: Geforce 5600 256MB RAM, AMD 2.09 XP CPU, 1.5G RAM running Windows XP PRO SP 2. The system can run quite a bit of games (UT2004, CT, etc...) and such and I just downloaded the one they have there now: Celestia Version 1.3.2
The Sim runs pretty smooth and everything is shown without any problem. Is there a way to check and see if a cmod file is the problem?? I hope I can fix this because I like your model :) Thanks!!

Kleersteel,

I'm glad you got it to work!

Celestia does require everything to be just right but really doesn't have very clear error messages when things are wrong.
