lots of 2001 but no Discovery?????

Hi there, let me join the army of congratulators on a simply amazing program! This thing is fantastic!
I am having lot so fun adding the various sci-fi addons to Celestia and when I read that the 2001 Space Odyssey spacestation, pod, and monolith were all available I was hoping the Discovery would be around as well. Am I missing something or has no one included this very obvious item?

Secondly, I was reading about Larry Niven's Ringworld at
http://www.celestiaproject.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=324
and I'm wondering if there's any way to put the ring around another star somewhere else? I'd like to leave my solar system intact if possible.

Here's a wishlist of other sci-fi objects (I don't know how to make these things myself):
Leonov including rotating hub (2010 Year We Make Contact), Moonbase Alpha (Space 1999), Classic 60's Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica (perhaps heading toward Sol?), Babylon V, Rama (from Arthur C Clark's Rendesvous with Rama), Valley Forge (Silent Running)

Yes, you are right : no-one has included the Discovery. However you can probably find one on the internet - I know there's a t least one site dedicated to 2001 3D models. I believe someone/some people are working on Ringworld - search the forums. Also, the ring-shaped space station from 2001 is available from Bruckner's Celestia add-on repository. As for the other models, I am working on an original Enterprise model right now, ('cept I have problems with the materials), and the Rama model would be very, very simple - just a smooth black cylinder (with a small stain on it, I think). I could make it this instant if I could get materials working.....grrr.....
Moonbase Alpha was actually on the Moon, wasn't it ? If so, I don't think there's any way to put buildings in Celestia. As for the others, I don't have any clear idea what they look like, but I'm sure some far more capable modeller/more devoted sci-fi fanatic can make/get hold of them for you :) ! Try searching the net for 3D si-fi models - make sure they're in 3Ds format.

Thanks for the info, actually I have located some of these items now.
Ringworld is at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... e_id=91975
and it looks very good, had to turn off the green Planets labelling though cuz it looked wrong that way.
60's Enterprise I got from http://trekmeshes.starfleet.ch/ in their meshes section and I modified the ssc file of a spacestation to put the Enterprise in a distant orbit, HOWEVER this Enterprise 3ds file has a separate jpg for the top saucer section and since I don't know how to combine two jpg's onto one 3d object in the ssc file my Enterprise has an invisible saucer section. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix that?
