Twilight on Mars, new challenge for atmosphere builders!

Hi,

Today, Spirit sent down from Mars some most amazing twilight shots that we should take into account. The blue is said to be visible to the naked eye, while the redish color further away from the sun's position is said to be somewhat enhanced...

I ask myself: are we looking at the sun above the horizon or at some sort of effect in the atmosphere while the sun itsself has already set.

According to the MER site, the sun is just below the horizon.
