A huge favor to ask...

I know I'm a newbie, but I've been using celestia some time ago (when you could simply download textures, edit solarsys config file and all of it worked just fine). Now I've downloaded the latest version, looked up at my old, saved celestia directory which contained hi res textures, edited new solarsys and found out that many of those 16k or larger png and jpeg (mostly specular and bump) textures doesn't really work now. When I tried to go and download textures, all I could find on this board was some DDS textures, VTs and stuff like that. I was gone maybe for 18 months and look what happened 
Now, I knew I must go trough and read a lot, but I couldn't make those CTX / DDS files to actually work, no matter how I tried 
I downloaded those HUGE zip files with thousands of DDS files, copied them into extras and / or med/high textures folder, I "told" config file where to look (the name of ctx file that goes with dds') and it didn't work. Now I spent over three nights downloading, and configuring it and he's always pushing old lowres crapy textures. And I have one X850 XT Platinum here that's hungry for some real job. Now, I don't know how to search, or how to look for it, but does any kind soul have shared entire Celestia directory on some ftp/http/p2p/torrent ??? And I mean zipped or rarred version (since those DDS files are 20 megs zipped and over 300 megs when unpacked). I mostly look for nice Earth, Mars and Moon VTs, and I've seen you guys share everything, now... if someone has fast broadband, maybe he could put entire directory of Celestia somewhere... Is that possible? I'm aplogize if I'm asking for something that's out of queston
