Making SCC From Scratch-Ought I To Include Haze & Spec I

I've noticed some earth AltTextures come with their own SSC's... some don't. The ones that do often seem to include these declarations...

Color [ 0.85 0.85 1.0 ]
SpecularColor [ 0.5 0.5 0.55 ]
SpecularPower 25.0
HazeColor [ 1 1 1 ]
HazeDensity 0.3

...which, I believe, are the same as the ones in the earth's solarsys.ssc. When I'm making SSC's from scratch (for textures that don't come with their own) is it a good idea to include these figures? I know other TEXTURES are not "inhereited" from the original solarsys.ssc. But does this non-inheritance include haze and specular info?

Furthermore, IF these things are NOT inherited (meaning I need to declare them individual), are the numbers from the solarsys.scc a good standard base-line for earth for different AltTextures? Or will each texture need it's own VERY different set of numbers? (I would assume, obviously, SOME tweaking might be in order per one's taste... just wondering if these numbers would be better than NO declarations at all).

Thanks...

Well, I'm gonna try and answer my own question (which I THINK I have figured out) - in case it helps anyone else...

1) I believe that the color, spec color and haze info ARE inherited from the solarsys.scc file - and there is no need to add them in AltTexture declarations

2) The info I quoted is a good standard baseline for any earth surface texture - which means, again, no reason to add the info in an AltTexture SSC declaration because, per 1, the info will just be pulled from the original solarsys.ssc for earth
