I have read the add-on tutorial, and I have gone back several topics on this list, but I can't find any answer to my question:
I downloaded the Lera system by Michael. It has a textures folder, a models folder, an ssc file and an stc file. I tried the add-on procedure to install an add-on by creating an 'addons' folder within my 'CelestiaResources' extras folder, but the program doesn not recognize any of the objects in the SSC file. What am I doing wrong?

Hey there...
To answer your question, I'm going to assume when you say: "the program does not recognize any of the objects in the SSC file" what you are saying is that you can't seem to find any of the objects you are expecting to see - via the return-type-a-name method.
My guess is the problem is this: in order to "see" the objects in a solar system, you have to BE in the solar system. To type in "earth" and for it to appear, you must BE in the Sol solar system first. Likewise, to see "Jovelera" in "The Lera System" you have to first go to the "The Lera System". THEN type in "Jovelera" to "select" it.
Did that help?
P.S. Please note: if this is your problem, this is not a Mac-specific issue.
