They're on the old Shatters.net server.
Chris has not yet moved them to the new Shatters.net server.

It's a shame that Rassilon addons aren't still available somewhere. Those addons are so good. They were the first addons I installed, one year ago, before they got lost.

All of Rassilon's add-ons are available at the old location:
http://www.celestiaproject.net/~rassilon/ If something is missing, please let me know about it.
Sorry I neglected to post about this earlier.

Hello Chris,
I have not verify if there are all in it (seems to me that Baramal system, M57 Ring Nebula or Spirograph Neb are missing), but this is exaccly this address I've let in my pages... without testing if it is working again! sorry. Nice to know it does.
But Ariane points to me another little thing I've not noticed systematically in my comments: some of the addons are requiering the texture packs (Global Cluster Generator, IIRC) to work well... Jeam

Rass,
Using your globular cluster generator, you made a NGC104.stc file (the 47 Tucanae globular cluster). I like it. However, it's not centered on the nebulae defined in the globular_clusters.dsc, which I think is part of the standard installation of Celestia (or else it comes from Selden). Can you check this ?

I doubt Ill do any modifying of the old addons except to redo them for the newest release of Celestia....What I would do is copy the data in the celestia release to the old file to fix this....Most of the data was pulled off the internet before it was standardised in Celestia and you know how data is different from one site to the next...

Can you do a new version of the 47 Tucanae cluster ?

I downloaded all the addons and M22 is correctly labeled, but not NGC 104(47 Tucanae). Is this because a ngc catalog is lacking or because 47 Tucanae is in another galaxy. The 47 Tucanae shows off,but not the label. And when I type the NGC 104,nothing happens.
It is a minor problem.I like very much your addon.
But still I think the globular clusters are different. Some are more compact, other more loose, for example and there are difference in the age of the stars.I wait that someday we will have this differences depicted.Today,M4,M22 and NGC 104 looks the same.

The addon generates random globular clusters, but not the specific 47 Tucanae model seen in your pic.I would like to know if is some way to produce individual globular clusters. What are the differences between the addons!

I'm also very interested in those addons from Rassilon.
Globular clusters are an important/interesting matter. We should have more of these available for Celestia, with realistic parameters (color, age, size, density, etc).

Well the problem with the old cluster generater is it was a shabby programming effort done in visual basic....bulky and not very user friendly so its not easy to develop clusters with a couple of clicks like I intended....I did have a project called rndssc some time back that was supposed to replace this but I abandoned it due to the fact I wanted something far better so in order to push my brain into a better and higher programming plateu I decided to start what Im currently working on...the Doctor Who Universe....Now that my C++ AND openGL skills far superior to what they were when I made the above mentioned I have seriously considered taking the DWU engine...tweaking it a bit and produce what I first intended...A graphical interface with real time graphics showing the results of your generated system...nebula...galaxy...etc...All done with a few clicks giving most of the newcomers and old timers a shortcut to developing ssc files...
Now the first step will of course lie in DWU where in I intend to have it output ssc files as well as its standard scripting system (def files) I will need to however do some hard math conversions as alot of the scripting in DWU is quite different to Celestia's...One major one being the plotting system for stars, galaxies etc... All based on Cartesian plane and radius...using inclination and mean anomaly...I will have to convert this to right acention and declination....Not too excited about this....but I want some crossover of my project so some of you will find a use in it more than just an exploration game....
Now on the subject of globular clusters...I think something that randomly develops a cluster by clicking one button and a few sliders...shows you the results would be far more useful than the current....So hopefully sometime soon I will delve into this area....But for now its all I have to offer is the old stuff until I come up with something better so bare with me

Some textures are still lacking. For example gc_vulca06,07 and 08.Are this textures in some place.Or you never did it?
