I have decided to let everyone get just a tiny peek at the direction Earth Central is headed if all goes as planed.I uploaded the new entrance page so everyone can see what I have in mind. I have a couple of people looking over the html code for me to see if the allinement problem can be fixed.
So if anyone is intersted in seeing the entrance page go to
http://www.celestiaproject.net/~impulse/Earth_ ... ntral.html
and have a look and please give me some feedback on your thoughts on the disign.

It looks good, Don! Of course, I'm always waiting for your stuff to come out; I'll make sure to keep this page book-marked from now on.

Looks very nice Don, but you have a large amount of blank space under the content section of the page. It makes the page much larger than it needs to be. I'm using Safari on OS X.3.8.

Hey Everyone, The new look is only on the entrance page at this time. But since there seems to be some confusion I will post some 50% shots at what I hope it will look like when it is done.
I hope the pictures help everyone understand wee I going with the future look. Some of the images used in the samples above are not the final ones so there may be a few more changes but the basic layout is in place.
As always coments and input is wellcome.

Where does this layout provide info on these textures? Details like tile size are helpful.

Kolano,
The arrows under each globe will take you to that textures page. All Earth's textures will reside on there own page.
The design of those pages is still in development at this time. Still trying to figue out a few things and how I want them to look. I want everthing to be uniform and have the same feel.
I hope that answers your question.
