NormalMaps?

dirkpitt,
Last week I was depressed to find out that this new version doesn't work on my iBook.
Yesterday I tried it on my girlfriend's PowerBook G4 and it's absolutely fantastic!!!
It's now very user-friendly and I love the bumpmaps. Performance is quite good.
Still there's one question:
I'm not sure about this, but I guess as there are VT NormalMaps, performance would be much better with those than with super-sized bumpmaps (and the resolution is probably much better, too). It looks like NormalMaps are not working in this version? They didn't work in the older versions neither (at least on the two Macs I tried it out on), but I expected them to work now because the bumpmaps are working perfectly now. I just thought I'd better ask before I try out all the NormalMaps one can find in the motherlode.
I'm still hoping you will find a fix for the total crash bug happening on the iBook...
