Is this graphics card a good one to use with Celestia?

Post #1by Sky Pilot » 20.01.2005, 18:14

I'm looking at the GeForce FX5200XT AGP 8X graphics card with 128MB DDR video memory running on Windows XP Media Center Edition. Is this a good card for Celestia or should I go for a higher-end card? Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Please read the Preliminary Users Faq, which is near the top of the Celestia Users Forum.

In particular, see q/a #4.

A 5200 shows everything. Right now, more advanced Nvidia cards will only be faster. Rumors suggest that the next major release of Celestia after v1.4.0 may have new features which take advantage of features available only in 6xxx cards (or later).
